 Photography is the act, science, and practice of creating durable image by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation by means of a light sensitive material focused through light replicated or emitted from object into a real image.

The power of human personality is centered on the kind of image, we project to the outside world, a lot of legends and histories are remembered today through the act of photography.

Like we all say seen is believing, photographers have used their profession to empower a lot of occupations and industries such as entertainment, without photography event records would be lost and no avenue to keep memories of what occurred.

In our present age everyone has been empowered through the technology of smart phones to be a photographer, but it takes more than a smart phone to be a leader in the profession of photography.

Just as music is got a leader in Tuface, Dbanj and others so as photography got a leader with this educated and enigmatic young individual who through photography as affected his world and the people around him, this Nigerian who hails from ogun state studied photography in south Africa and he is back to use his study to touch lives and empower other young individual who seeks to be just like him.

May we meet you sir: my name is ogungbade Ayodeji my friends will insist you call me “UN CHECK”

How did you come by this name: you mean “UN CHECK” well back in my school days due to my sense of character, personality and dress sense my friends gave me the name on check, so from then on I stuck with the name.

For those who don’t know you, what do you do: I am a proud photographer the name of my brand is ”ON CHECK photos’” after my education in federal college of education where I studied Accountancy, I went to lagos state university and also studied theater acts, theater opened my mind to photography then I went over to south Africa a few years back to study another six months course in photography.

Tell us about your background: I am born into a family of three, my dad is late, I got two sisters and with the glory of God my mom is still alive to see me live my dream, I am proud to say I wasn’t born with a silver spoon but today with the glory of God that story has changed, I was born July 5^th 1985 in ondo state.

Did you choose photography or it chose you: the love of photography started from childhood, I look pictures for fun, I was told by my mom that when I was young we went for a wedding and everyone was looking for me but when I was found, I was seen with the photographers, when I started I was snapping for free, not until, when people stared encouraging me that I can do this, so I ventured into photography.

When did you get into the industry: I have been a photographer all my life but I started professionally 5years ago.

When did you earn your first big break: It happened so fast, this faithful day a client called me and told me she wanted me to cover her wedding, because she saw my work with some other client who had referred me to her, I didn’t even see her we just concluded over the phone, this woman instantly sent me #500,000 (five hundred thousand naira) for a wedding at metro park  on Victoria island, I give glory to God because without him, I don’t think it would have been possible.

What is on check photos about: thank you, we are into event coverage, photography, video covereage of weddings, luncheons, cooperate events and seminal.

What inspires your work: photography is about creativity, how you see and what message you can pass across in the moment when you are taking that shot that people would remember for life, so for me I just put my passion into play and let God take control.

Where do you see your company in 5years: on check photos is already a recognized brand in the entertainment and photography industry in Nigeria, what we are looking at now dominating the world

I see on check photos in the next five years rubbing shoulders with the major forces in the world of photography.

Who do you look up to in the photography industry: I look up to God and myself, I don’t walk in anyone’s shadows, I set my sights and standards and achieve them simple.

What advice would you give to those who want to be like you: to be a great photographer, you don’t need a bullet or a gun, all you need is to be focused, you don’t need to go into it for money, when you have love for your job money would follow, just be consistent follow your dreams and believes and leave the rest for God.

A word from on check photos ceo: in life i believe once you have an inner image(vision) and you can dream, backed with the will to achieve, the only ingredient you can add to this is self confidence and believe which ha s always been my watch word.
