At JFB Reading Centre, we provide shared
readings, painting and creative writing classes for pupils in Kindergartens and
Primary schools; with the primary motive of guiding children from their first
steps in phonics through to independent reading, painting and writing. Our
curriculum incorporates all genres of children literature, with special
interest in story rhymes and picture books.

Our reading scheme is made up of wholesome, entertaining, educational stories on a variety of fascinating topics. These cuts across the literary genres and our target audience are children aged between 2 to 12 years of age. Rhyming stories and pattern picture books are used in the nursery classes to encourage print motivation, phonemic awareness and vocabulary growth; thereby achieving an improved socialization in a literacy rich environment.
More than merely reading with a child, at JFB Reading Centre we follow a proven, structured curriculum to help students learn specific skills necessary to become proficient readers.
