He is a talented and hardworking young man committed to success. He got his High school certificate in Lagos, and he is presently studying Accounting at National Open University in Lagos.

 Popularly known as Amidammy for his music, he started his music career in January 2011. Here is his Exclusive interview where he shares his journey to put his music on the world map and prove to all, he is here stay,

The ability to create a tune, melody and sound out of nothing is a rare gift. The entertainment industry in Nigeria has witnessed a tremendous amount of growth, as loads of young artistes have smiled to the bank, harbingers such as Tuface, Dbanj, Wizkid and a few others have blazed the trail for others to follow. They have signed major endorsement deals and performed to a large audience across the world leaving them spell bound.

 Is this enough to inspire others to pursue the same career? Today we introduce another Music industry player, singer, song writer and dancer to you. He currently has a new single that speaks about his burning desire to become a major hit in the entertainment industry. Corazon introduces to the world Amidammy.

Corazon: Welcome to Corazon

Amidammy: Thank you Corazon, it’s so nice to finally be here. I must say you guys are doing a great job.

Corazon: How did you come about the name Amidammy?

Amidammy: My name came from shortening my surname and first name. From my surname I had Ami and my name is Dammy, I like the sound of the name. Since then I stuck with Amidammy and it’s been working wonders for me.

Corazon: Where were you born and how old are you?

Amidammy: I am Lasgidi first son; I was raised and born in Ilupeju area of Lagos state in Nigeria. I was born on the 21^st of April 1995.

Corazon: When did you discover your love for music?

Amidammy:  At a very tender age I must say. My mum use to say when I was little, if I cried, all she needed to do was play music and I will just stop crying. Though, I started music professionally in 2011, recording my first single with my producer Mic Davidz. The song is what we are enjoying now, its speaks about many desires of people who wish to be a star by Amidammy ft. Femi Silva

Corazon: Asides from music what other talents do you possess?

Amidammy: I believe education is key; presently I am studying to be an accountant which is so much fun to know more about money.

Corazon: What inspires your music?

Amidammy: For me, listening to new tunes, instrumentals and being in the studio inspires my creativity.

Corazon: Do your parents support your music?

Amidammy: I know I didn’t just stumble on this talent I picked it up from them. I must stress that I have the most wonderful parents in the world; their advice and support financially, spiritually have been my driving force in music.

Corazon: What do you think is your selling point?

Amidammy: I haven’t taken time to study myself as an individual, this may sound like self praise but it is what it is. I got a unique smile, a great voice and my writing aids me as a recording artiste, I always thank God because without him Amidammy won’t have been achievable

Corazon: How did you discover your talent?

Amidammy:  I discovered that I love listening to music right from childhood, then when I sing songs by other people, my school friends tell me I have a good voice for singing, then I started trying to write my own songs and I discovered I could work perfectly on any beat.

Corazon: Which major artiste will you love to work with?

Amidammy:  I have a long list of players in the game I respect for their content, creativity, unique sound and voice. I will love to work with Tuface, Wizkid, Davido, Ice prince, Mr. May D, M.I, Avicii, Akon and Popcan.

Corazon: what will you love to be remembered for in the industry?

Amidammy: I will love to be remembered for the difference I brought to the game by my style of music. My aim is to keep releasing Evergreen songs that the world would follow. Remember its Amidammy season watch the setting of the sun you will see me right beside it shining brighter than ever.
