Peter Okoye who is one-half of the group P Square has launched his own record label, P Classic Records. He has even further announced his first act on the label- Malcoholic Obinna.

Malcoholic Obinna, real names Malcolm Obinna Clint Onyeyirihappens to be Peter Okoye's cousin. The pop singer released a bunch of promotional shots of his cousin on his Instagram page to announce his signing.

With the launch of Peter Okoye's own label, many are wondering if this is a step to the split of P Square. Earlier this year there were rumours that P Square was on the verge of splitting as a result of irreconcilable differences between Peter and Paul Okoye. Both parties eventually didn't go their separate ways.

Speaking exclusively to Pulse, Mr. Bayo Adetu who is P Square's publicist says that P Classic Records is a platform by Peter Okoye to help upcoming acts, and that he is not signed to the label. He stated that Peter Okoye is still signed to Squareville and Northside Inc.

He also said that the existence of P Classic Records, doesn't affect P Square. P Classic Records is a subsidiary of P Classic Group.
