Kunle Afolayan wins big at AFRIFF
Kunle Afolayan is a Nigerian actor and director. He is the son of the famous theater and film director and producer Ade Love. He is of Yoruba descent. Afolayan majored in economics. Since 2005 he has been active in the Nigerian film industry in Nigeria, Kunle Afolayan-directed movie ‘October 1’ won three awards at week-long film festival, AFRIFF (African International Film Festival).
The festival which came to an end on November with a special awards ceremony where, among other laurels, 10 students were selected from the workshop sessions for further training in an American university.
At the awards event, the new Kunle Afolayan-directed movie, October 1 was the stand out performer with 3 awards on the night.
The acclaimed film won Best Feature Film and Best Screenplay categories.
