before today's game the super eagles fate was condemnedto either you win or stay out of the Afcon 2015, Super Eagles returnee and spainish based striker Ike uche put Nigeria ahead in the second half after emenike was brought down by the Congoless goalie in the box, Ik stepped up to put Nigeria ahead for her first goal of the match.
mintues later Congo was also awarded a penalty which they failed to convert as Nigerian Goaliee vincent Enyema made the desivie save to keep Nigeria in the game. Close to the end of the game Nigeria made a few changes as Emmanuel Emineke came off for Sani aluko. the game sparked into life in the dieing mitues as Nigeria advanced with the ball to the right and put the ball into the net to claim vitory in Congo. final score Nigeria 2-0 congo
